Experience the Giro d’Italia with Colnago Bicycles

Join Destination Cycling and Colnago Bicycles for week 3 of the 2011 Giro d’ Italia in Italy. Our trip begins at the factory of Colnago bicycles. Ernesto Colnago has opened his factory and collection to just us for the day. Bicycles ridden by Ernesto, Johan Museeuw, Giuseppe Saronni and many others will have you taking countless pictures.

We then travel north to breathtaking Lake Como and the town of Bellagio, home to the church of the cyclist, the Ghisallo. Then we will climb the famous mountain of San Pellegrino Terme where we can watch the finish of Stage 18. The following day we head south to the city of Pinerolo and gateway to two famous climbs, Col Agnel and Sestriere, both of which have been included in past (and present) Giro and Tour de France races. Get prepared to witness the mountain Stage 20 and the fanatical ride of the pros as they take on Colle di Fenestre and Sestriere. This will be a fireworks of a race day. After one more evening in Pinerolo to reminisce about the mountains, we wake to the final Stage 21, a 32km individual time trial, truly the last chance for some of the pros to gain time on the GC.
